I would play with my friends,

But I longed for some excitement
So I travelled 'round the world
After that I seattled down and
I became a city girl
Went to parties every night
and lived intensively

Vyhlížím ven a přemýšlím, kde jsem,
zatímco jsem uvízla v denní dopravní špičce.
Rozhodnu se vystoupit a nechat auto za sebou.
Všude, kde se míjejí lidé,
prázdné tváře a žádný přátelský úsměv.
Samý stres, osamění, část našeho města.

a příroda mě obklopují.
Když vítr vane,

Na Vysočině, když jsem byla dítě,
hrála bych si s kamarády,
pane, byli jsme divocí.
A všichni jsme milovali vřesoviště,
přírodu a její svobodu.
A chodili jsme hledat duchy v mlze.
Vzpomínám si, když jsem dostala první pusu.
Od stydlivého kluka ze sousedství,
který šeptal "buď mou dívkou".
Ale já jsem toužila po něčem vzrušujícím.
Tak jsem cestovala po světě.
Potom jsem se usadila a
stala jsem se městskou holkou.
Chodila na párty každou noc
a žila intenzivně.
Teď už vím, že to není život pro mě.

Budu čekat na Vysočině
s tím úžasným klidem,
kde hvězdy se třpytí a potoky syčí.
To je ta má cesta životem,
když vrchy Vysočiny
a příroda mě obklopují.
Když vítr vane,
mám vše, co potřebuji.
Milovaná Vysočino, milovaná Vysočina,
jsi tak sladká.

Och, můj drahoušku,
nerada bych to tu opustila bez Tebe.
Jsem si jistá, že i ty budeš Vysočinu milovat.
